The Vale joins The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024

We are excited to support The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024 by sponsoring an adult and baby penguin sculpture as part of a fundraiser for St Richard’s Hospice.

The Wild in Art trail will feature forty big penguins and forty chicks, designed by local schools and community groups. They will be on display for eight weeks next July.

Catherine Linfield, Site Manager at The Vale Crematorium said: “We’ve used money from our Metal Recycling Fund to secure the penguins and we can’t wait to see what the designs look like.

“We wanted to support this fundraising effort because we know first-hand how important it is to deliver compassionate and dignified support, that’s tailored to each family.

“Here at The Vale Crematorium, we help families create unique personal farewell services for their loved ones, all delivered with the exceptional care which we are known for.

“We are there for local people, just as St Richard’s Hospice is, and events like this will help provide funds to ensure the hospice can continue to support patients and their families in the future.”
